“Bishops” of Pittsburgh, indeed!

Rt. Canine ClumberThese people will say anything. That just goes to show you the outrageous claims BoobyP will make. I, and I alone, am the new Bishop of Pittsburgh, and I, and I alone, am entitled to that invitation. Perhaps I shall bring Mrs. Clumber, and we can do the canine shuffle together at the big dance. I promise to try to control my slobber, but my snoring is beyond my control. If your sermon puts me to sleep, then you are to blame for the snoring, Rowan!

Yes, Clumber++, I think you should go.

So I actually went to the ‘announcement’ you linked to, and I have a little trouble with BoobyPootsburgh’s statement….
“Given the stated-intent of the Archbishop of Canterbury that Lambeth can no longer be considered a decision making council of the church”

I find this very funny. When was teh Lambeth ever a decision making council?

Oh, and I love the quilt icons!

Can’t wait till the “bishop” of Pgh is granted his wish to leave TEC and Bishop Clumber takes his rightful place. The cathedral has a good organist and decent acoustics. I’ve sung concerts there several times. I just hope Bob takes Trinity Seminary with him. They haven’t met the Holy Spirit yet.

Nice to see the old-fashioned bishops’ wig back in style.

I look forward to seeing you at Lambeth, my dear. Several good rubs behind the ear and vigorous rubs on the rump await you.

I presume there’s been some sort of confusion over at Lambeth with my recent appointment to the bishop’s post as I have yet to receive my letter. Perhaps the concept of a canine bishop is considered divisive over there. Well maybe I’ll just go anyway and see what they’ll do about it!
