You know by now that Clumber++ has never been one for a lot of words. So to aid you in visualizing Kaetonium’s quiz, I’ve constructed an aid to help you answer the question correctly:

And in case you were wondering about the title of this post:
Gonna Buy Me a Dog
(Tommy Boyce/Bobby Hart)
Lead Vocal: Michael Nesmith
Acoustic Guitar: James Burton, Glen Campbell, Al Casey,
James Helms, Don Peake, & Peter Tork
Bass: William Pitman
Drums: Hal Blaine, Frank Devito, & Jim Gordon
Percussion: Gary Coleman
Produced By: Michael Nesmith
Recorded At: Western Recorders Studio 2, Hollywood
Date: July 7, 1966
Although a version of Boyce/Hart’s “Gonna Buy Me A Dog” with Nesmith on vocals was attempted, it was never finished. The song, featuring Micky and Davy, would be produced by the writers later on.
Lyrics:
You know my girl just called me up
And she woke me from my sleep
You should have heard the things she said
You know she hurt my feelings deep.
I’m gonna buy me a dog
‘Cause I need a friend now.
I’m gonna buy me a dog,
My girl, my girl, don’t love me no how.
She used to bring me my newspaper.
‘Cause she knew where it was at.
She used to keep me so contented.
But I can teach a dog to do that.
I’m gonna buy me a dog,
‘Cause I need a friend now
I’m gonna buy me a dog,
My girl, my girl, don’t love me no how.
How
I’m gonna buy me a dog,
‘Cause I need a friend now
I’m gonna buy me a dog,
My girl, my girl, don’t love me no how.
My favourite Monkees’ song for fun was “Auntie Grizelda”. And my favourite serious one (as serious as a Monkees’ song was gonna be) was “Last Train to Clarksville”.
He did some great later things.
I put this up over at TELP’s original post.
If only that was all it took to get anywhere!

What have I started?
Oh, Clumber, you naughty, naughty dog. Whatever HAVE you started here? Whatever it is, please be sure to clean up your mess.
Well, THAT was random!
Define “THAT”… It’s that Kaeton Woman who started this… I am merely helping readers answer the question posed over at her site. And hey, at least I didn’t do that “Hillary-McCain” face blend over on Huffington Post. Now THAT is gonna give me nightmares!…
Actually, Clumber, I meant Susan’s videos. But the picture’s pretty disturbing.
I don’t know how you all can stand these election campaigns. Do they really go on for five years out of every four, or does it just feel that way?
