I don’t know what gets into the old dog sometimes. I swear I have not eaten any of that funky dog food from China, nor inhaled too deeply at the alternative church “incense bowl”… and I do truly love this church. Oh well, best not to analyze this stuff or you’ll start chasing your own tail, and we already know where that gets you.
Today’s hot new movie, coming out in September!
Sorry that this has been so sporadic of late, but, well, you regular readers know, grandpups come before blogging… this has been a glorious summer with them, and just to show you all that I can be a fun granddog, I submit the photo below, which may or may not be yours truly ready for a day at the beach!

At some point in time, I bet every granddog begins to feel a little like Mr. Noodle.
Hey, we’re coming down the home stretch of the dog days of summer… it’s time to get out the old tapes of In Living Color. Surely the ABC can take a hint with what needs to be done with the ADN… all he needs to keep saying is the mantra “If you want to be here, we want you here” as well as the corollary, “If you don’t want to be here, then go someplace else”, ’cause Homey Don’t Play Dat Game!

Excuse me, miss, can I get your red beans and rice recipe?

The Most Rev & Right Hon. Dr Rowan Williams Archbishop of Canterbury
Lambeth Palace London
Dear Archbishop Rowan,As Archbishop and Assistant Bishops of the Diocese of Sydney, we send our thanks for your kind invitation to attend next year’s Lambeth Conference. Your invitation has been received with pleasure and it would give us a great deal of joy to be able to join you.

Unfortunately the timing of the invitation has proved difficult. We have many many things going on around that time. Ivan says he has berries to pick, and Glenn says he has to mow his lawn that week. Bob and Alan have told me that they need to work on their golf game a bit, and Peter says that his back will be giving him trouble about then. We’re sure you will understand that the Word of God prohibits us from participating when there are so many more important issues to deal with. Jesus was quite clear on priorities, as you well know, and we can’t be in the same room with people with cooties. In fact, we’re not quiet sure we want to be around anyone except “Certified Anglicans”, and certainly don’t want to hear, touch, or break bread with any of “them”.
We hope that you understand this delay and we look forward to communicating with you further on this matter at the earliest opportunity.
With our best wishes, Yours sincerely,
The Most Rev Dr Peter F Jensen – Archbishop of Sydney
The Rt Rev Robert C Forsyth – Bishop of South Sydney
The Rt Rev Dr Glenn N Davies – Bishop of North Sydney
The Rt Rev Peter J Tasker – Bishop of Liverpool
The Rt Rev Ivan Y Lee – Bishop of Western Sydney
The Rt Rev Alan J Stewart – Bishop of Wollongong.
P.S. Oh, and just to remind you, it’s not about sex. We’re now required to say that in all our correspondence to anyone.
