Or possibly this is the Ugandan device

If you need one today, click here… I’m still trying to parse their sentence “Karen opened up a shop in the prestigious area of Birmingham, Michigan”….

Exclusive to BOAOD!

As I remember, you take that “T” shaped thing and hold it between your legs, put the halo on your head and plug it in!

Bam! Being slain by the Holy Spirit!

Our lives in punctuated equilibrium

42070491_321f29f2b6.jpgWikipedia comments about punctuated equilibrium in social theory with:

Thus, policy is characterized by long periods of stability, punctuated by large, but rare, changes due to large shifts in society or government.

That’s a little like our lives, isn’t it? Long periods of stability and a phone call changes everything.

Come home, your father’s had a heart attack.

Mom, we’re expecting.

We’re having some problems.

This time around, play with the grandpup was interrupted by a phone call with news of leukemia, fast moving, very aggressive. Our lives are touched profoundly by the helplessness that this causes. The stability is gone for a time, but will return again. The large, rare change has started.

July 4 Posting, better late than never
