Mad Dog!

c1.jpgYou know, Diary Entry - 5th. June 2007 just pisses me off something fierce. I’m gonna round up the dogs I know and go bite that bishop’s leg, or at least growl a bit at him.

Now some have used words like “asshat”, but that sort of language is not in Clumber’s vocabulary. Yet I just think this is appalling that our dear MP has to go through this sort of stuff. Not having been in Newcastle Upon Tyne for several years (but still fondly remember some sticky toffee pudding that Mrs. Clumber and I enjoyed at some old “castle” type place), I’ve never been to a service by MP, but it seems likely that he does a rather nice job by his people there. He certainly does fine by the circle of bloggers out here, I’d say.

On the Road Again

Well, just in time, I’m off to see some of the grandpups again. Why just in time, you may ask? Well, Franklin Graham is bouncing into town for one of his festivals. Our priest has wisely chosen to remain silent about the whole thing, while some of the folks hereabouts are positively giddy with excitement. Even friends of this humble dog. So this trip comes at the perfect time to avoid having to make any excuses.

And why would I not want to go? The morning paper has this statement by the “Managing Director of Counseling and Follow-up”:

When a person accepts Graham’s invitation to accept Christ, the counselors are there to confirm the decision, pray with the individual and encourage him or her to read the gospel of John, he said.

“It’s one of the easier of the gospels for understanding,” Cass said. “It’s probably one of Graham’s most quoted.”

The gospel, particularly 3:16, relates the tenet that those who believe in Jesus will have eternal life.

Yea, that Gospel of John, easy reading. Especially for those people who are looking for “Bumper Sticker Christianity™”.
